Dear EA4HP members,
The XXIIth EA4HP-SH Symposium and Workshop is a hybrid meeting. The procedures are slightly modified to meet the requirements of this congress format, while still remaining within the regulations of the Constitution and Bylaws. Members that are not present in person are asked to send questions and comments to the Secretary-Treasurer not later than two weeks before the General Assembly ([email protected]). We ask for your understanding and hope that your will participate and contribute your ideas and support.
Prior to the General Assembly on September 24th, we kindly ask you to read the minutes of the General Assembly 2022, which are posted on the EA4HP homepage. If you would have any questions or comments, please communicate so by e-mail to the Secretary-Treasurer [email protected] so that your comments can be addressed adequately and the minutes from 2022 can be accepted on September 24th.
The process to legally register EA4HP as a non-profit association in the Netherlands is ongoing. Due to legal requirements two modification had to be done in the constitution. Due to legal requirements EA4HP is obliged to have a financial committee consisting of 2 EA4HP members that are not part of the EXCO. The financial committee is elected by the General Assembly for a term of 2 years and can be re-elected for 2 years. The task of the financial committee is to review the yearly financial statement and to make a recommendation on whether to grant discharge of the board and especially the treasurer. The granting of discharge should be approved by the General Assembly. From this follows that EA4HP has to have a yearly General Assembly, and we propose that in the non-meeting years this can be arranged by zoom.
On behalf of the EA4HP Executive Committee we propose John Goodlad from Edinburgh, UK as president-elect and Laurence de Leval from Lausanne, Switzerland as scientific secretary. Mats Ehinger from Lund, Sweden and Gorana Gasljevic, Lubljana, Slovenia are proposed as officers. Thomas Menter, Basel, Swizerland and Stefan Dojcinov, Swansea, UK are proposed for the financial committee.
